AMORPHIS, HANOI ROCKS To Perform At RADIO ROCK FINLANDIA
September 26, 2007AMORPHIS and HANOI ROCKS will perform at Radio Rock Finlandia at the Helsinki Ice Hall on December 5, the eve of the Finnish Independence Day. The concert will be hosted by Radio Rock and broadcast live on said radio station as well as on Finnish TV channel 4 (Nelonen). Other bands featured at the event are WALTARI, VON HERZEN BROTHERS, KOTITEOLLISUUS, and APULANTA. Tickets will go on sale on October 1 (available from Lippupalvelu and Menolippu).

AMORPHIS' new album, "Silent Waters", recently entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 44. Released in North America on September 18, the CD is the second AMORPHIS album to feature singer Tomi Joutsen (SINISTHRA). It was recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, Finland. Mixing duties were handled by Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS) at Finnvox studios.
AMORPHIS will embark on a European tour in November. The first leg of the "Silent Waters European Tour" will take AMORPHIS to Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Norway and Sweden before the band returns to Finland for a concert at Nosturi in Helsinki. Support on the trek will come from SWALLOW THE SUN and INSOMNIUM.
